Unknown bird seen at Paton’s
I saw this bird at Paton’s and have no idea what it is. It must be some kind of plumage aberration, and maybe someone can give me some information. My best guess is a male Black-headed Grosbeak with some odd genetic disorder or disease, but I don’t really know. I’m only basing that guess on the shape and size, really. Sorry for the picture quality. I was pretty far away and these pictures are heavily cropped.
Somewhat larger than a House Finch.
Any ideas?
